What You’ll Love:  Very lightweight considering its length.  Yes, you won’t hurt your arm holding it while taking your pictures.  Its design and color make it look sleek and very appealing (think of a Mac that can take pictures).  It is perfect for outdoor shooting.  It is excellent for taking shots of your son kicking that soccer ball or a close-up of the butterfly in repose during a nature trip.  Images come out looking very sharp and precise.  Great value for money indeed!

Full Disclosure:  I can’t honestly say anything negative about this glass, really, except that it’s a pricey item for someone who treats photography merely as a hobby.  Furthermore, it does give you great value for your money as compared to other similar lenses from Canon.  One real weakness, however, is that you can’t get the same quality pictures with it when shooting indoors as you can when shooting outdoors.  A good light source will remedy that.  Use a flash or shoot your pictures where there’s bright indoor lighting.
