It also computes the range of your previous shot to give you an idea of what club to use next.  GolfLogix GPS is waterproof so you don’t have to worry if it suddenly rains on your parade.  You can soak it in water for the heck of it, if you want.  Its wide LCD screen is perfect for viewing; no need to squint.

It also automatically measures the range so you don’t have to point it towards the direction of your course.  In a matter of seconds you will see your course unlike other devices that brags about loading in minutes!  This device is really fast.

Full Disclosure: It is reliable and accurate, if it works.  Unfortunately, there have been instances when the device would just lock up and you can’t for the life of you get it to work again while you’re playing your game.  If this happens to you, hook it up to a computer and reset everything.  Not so portable anymore, though, if you have to lug a laptop around in the greens.

Furthermore, those who want distance to the pin all ready and calculated would be disappointed.  It will give you only general yardages - not yardage to the pin.  Another problem may be short battery life; it goes through juice like a kid goes through cookies.

There are also cases when saved golf courses are not up-to-date.  It may not warn you there’s a croc in the water watching your every move.  Seriously though, some courses probably got filtered through when golf course maps were being made for the GolfLogix GPS.  Updates may be requested if you want, however.
